Talk about an exciting start to my early morning walks since the temps are beginning to climb. Started uneventful till I hit the first end of our 1 mile long road. Then all of a sudden I see something black moving in the road ahead of me. It was still dark, but day was breaking and I could make out a white stripe down it's back. YIKES!!!!!!! SKUNK! I turned and went the other way. Shew, that was close. Headed to the other end of our little road. Nothing extravagant, a cat stalking a bird, a couple barking dogs, a few squirrels beginning their mornings, THEN, at the other end of the road, what do I see, ANOTHER SKUNK!!!!!!!!!!! So, I gave him all the room he wanted, and reversed my steps in the other direction. I only had 3 miles to walk this morning, but me and these skunks really need to NOT cross paths. I don't mind sharing, but could they scurry around and not scare the pugeebeez out of me. Like scurry into the woods, or into the golf course, where I don't walk.
Well, anyways, it was rather, shall I say, a nose opening experience. :)
